4. Troubleshooting

4.1 User Lost Seed Phrase/Private Key

If a user loses access to their self-custodial wallet (e.g., MetaMask, WalletConnect), they will no longer be able to interact with the platform using that wallet. However, the tokens are not lost since the Tokenizer.Estate operates under a controlled transfer protocol; only Staff have the ability to send tokens.

4.1.1 What Staff Can Do

  1. Confirm the situation:
Make sure the user indeed lost access to their wallet (lost seed phrase or private key).
  2. Create a new wallet:
Ask the user to generate a new self-custodial wallet (e.g., in MetaMask).
  3. Manually transfer tokens:
    • Use the "Send Tokens" function in a specific unit (which tokens the user has previously possessed) in the admin panel.
    • Transfer the user’s token holdings from the old (lost) wallet to the newly provided address.
    • Tokens can be recovered this way because users cannot transfer tokens themselves — only the platform’s admins can.
